The Montana Lead Local Health Official Mentorship Orientation Program a robust program to help orient you to the Montana Public Health System and introduce you to concepts and strategies you will encounter as you progress through your public health career. This program is not intended to teach you everything you need to know about public health; rather, it will help orient you to the system in which you will be working and provide you with a mentor to help guide and support you.
Public Health as Community Health Strategist: Leadership Skills for 2020 and Beyond. The core mission of the public health system is still to reduce the leading causes of preventable death, disease and disability. However, there are new circumstances and forces of change in our environment that require public health leaders to use new approaches to deliver public health programs, protections and services, and to update their skills and competencies.
Core leadership training is a critical need as public health practitioners move forward with Public Health 3.0 and Community Health Strategist approaches. This program was designed to provide resources and knowledge, and build competencies that are needed to move to these public health contemporary frameworks.
